Cabinet approves PM's India visit

Kathmandu,: A meeting of the Council of Ministers today approved Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's State visit to India taking place from coming April 6.

The meeting took place at the Prime Minister's official residence, Baluwatar endorsed the PM's three-day State visit, according to Minister of StateforCommunications and Information Technology, Gokul Prasad Baskota. 

The meeting agreed to accept the Finance Ministry's proposal regarding the conceptual principles about payment and clearance bill required to systematize the payment system. As per the meeting decision, former law secretary Kamalshali Ghimire shall be appointed on the Bill Preparation Facilitation Committee. 
Besides, the meeting decided to accept grants worth Rs 1 billion to be provided by the Asian Development Bank for the drinking water project. 

As per the constitutional provision, there shall be no existence of District Education Offices after April 11. But, bearing in mind the ongoing exam programmes, the meeting has made provisional arrangements to continue the office till the end of month of Asar, 2075 BS until the establishment of the District Coordination Unit. 

As per the meeting decision, Nepal Development Committee shall be formed to work on the project relating to the road, transport operation and electricity transmission line supported by the US Government under the Sustainable Development Goals.
